William English is a board-certified safety engineer and a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. He is a registered Professional (Safety) Engineer in California and active on a number of safety standards committees.

Following a full career as a broad-based industrial safety engineer and risk management professional, William English has increasingly specialized in the prevention of falling occurrence to pedestrians, including guidelines for constructing safer facilities and consultation in forensic cases where people have been injured by falling, including accident reconstruction and slip resistance measurement.

Configuring capital equipment, particularly control systems, to take into account the capabilities and limitations of human operators, so that safe and efficient production is achievable by the people who actually use the equipment.
